National Portrait Gallery
Atlantic paradox, FEBRUARY 9, 2025
Join Moveius Contemporary Ballet for a world premiere of Atlantic Paradox, a new work created by Artistic Director, Diana Movius. This will be her second new work presented at and commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery since being announced as their choreographer-in-residence. The work is inspired by the gallery’s exhibit “Brilliant Exiles: American Women in Paris, 1900-1939.” (link to exhibit here: https://npg.si.edu/exhibition/brilliant-exiles)

SEASON OPENER: MOSAIC OF MOTION
OCTOBER 18 & 19 @ 7:30 pm
Join us for Moveius Contemporary Ballet’s Fall Season opening show! With a dynamic start to the season, the company will be performing works by guest choreographers Royce Zackery, Sona Kharatian, Asami Seki, and Therese Gahl, along with a reprise from Adam Chavis. Artistic Director, Diana Movius, will also be showcasing a preview of her next work to be presented at the National Portrait Gallery.
Letters To Ourselves
November 15 & 16 @ 7:30 pm
An original work created by Associate Artistic Director, Alvaro Palau, Letters from Ourselves dives into stories surrounding the ideas of love, loss, and community. This work is an installation using the whole Dance Loft facility, a one-of-a-kind creation you don’t want to miss! Due to the audience movement throughout the space, tickets are limited.
The Nutcracker
